12 contestants battle to win N1m in Maggi show


12 contestants from South West Nigeria including Lagos, Ogun, Oyo, Osun, Ondo and Kwara States have begun their journey to winning N1million grand prize in the third edition of the Maggi cooking show- O ta lenu.

The 11 episodes show will see contestants cooking their way into winning exciting other Maggi prizes as well.

Speakig via a press release, the Corporate Communications and Public Affairs Manager, Nestle Nigeria, manufacturers of Maggi, Victoria Uwadoka said the show which aims at encouraging young Nigerians towards exploring exciting ways of cooking and enjoying the regional dishes they love was first aired  in Northern Nigeria as ‘Muna Kwarya’ and ‘O setigo’ in Southern Nigeria. 

Mrs Uwadoka said the show is hosted by popular Nigerian star, Oluwabukunmi Oyebisi Adeaga-Ilori a.k.a. KieKie while Nollywood star, Lateef Adedimeji and actress, model and television host Kehinde Bankole are judges on the show.



"The contest consists of an elimination phase where two contestants are evicted weekly and a final phase where the top 3 contestants will battle it out in the kitchen for the grand prize. 


"O Ta Lenu highlights the rich culinary dexterity of the people of South West Nigeria as well as provides consumers with tips for maintaining healthy lifestyles," Mrs Uwadoka said.
