The United States War College's Public Affairs Officer, Carol Kerr has confirmed that Presidential candidate, Muhammadu Buhari had been awarded a diploma ( a certificate) from the college.
This became necessary because of the missing certificate saga of the All Progressives Congress (APC). The United States Army War College has confirmed that he indeed graduated from the institution in 1980.
The information was sent via email in response to an enquiry made by US-based Nigerian, Sunday Iwalaiye.
Controversy arose over Buhari's academic credentials after he was described as "semi-illiterate" by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and failed to present his certificates to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) saying they were in the possession of the military board.
