Joseph Mbu redeployed to Lagos as AIG

The man who people see as the self-proclaimed "Lion" who "tamed" Governor Rotimi Amaechi and supervised so much drama in Rivers that Professor Wole Soyinka reserved for him a special place in opprobrium.
Well, the Police High Command has redeployed Assistant Inspector General of Police, Mbu Joseph Mbu, as well as 27 other AIGs.
The directive for redeployment was issued by the Inspector General of Police, Suleiman Abba, on Tuesday, January 20.
Mbu's redeployment will see him move from Police Zone 7, Federal Capital Territory, FCT and neighbouring states,  to Zone 2, Lagos, ahead of the general elections.
A statement signed by the Force spokesperson, CP Emmanuel Ojukwu, confirmed the redeployment.
It said: "While charging the Senior Officers to bring their experience to bear on their new postings and be more service-oriented in the discharge of their constitutional responsibilities, the IGP urges the public to partner closely with the Force in its determination to ensure improved safety and security of our country."
Others redeployed are in the list.
In an unrelated development, Nigeria's general elections hold February. Lagos has the highest number of registered voters.
