Two
persons, yesterday, died in a stampede during the All Progressives
Congress (APC) presidential campaign visit to Plateau State.
It
was learnt that the victims were trying to force their way out of the
venue of the event, crowded Rwang Pam Township Stadium, which was filled
beyond capacity, when they were trampled on and they died in the
process.
The APC presidential candidate, General
Mohammadu Buhari, had earlier addressed the mammoth crowd, promising to
restore security in the north eastern zone of the country as well as
improve on the agriculture and education sectors. He also promised to
make jobs available for the unemployed youths if voted into power in
next month's election.
After leaving Plateau State, Buhari took his campaign to Nasarawa State.
