Group C of the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations, which has Algeria – the highest-ranked team in Africa, former champions Ghana, South Africa and Senegal, has been hailed as the group of death.
Hosts Equatorial Guinea are in Group A, along with Gabon, Congo and Burkina Faso. Group B has Zambia, DR Congo, Cape Verde and Tunisia, while Group D houses Ivory Coast, Guinea, Cameroon and Mali.
The opening match of the competition, will be played between Equatorial Guinea and Congo on January 17.
