Unknown gunmen abducted have former Accountant General of Bauchi, Alhaji Bappa Tilde on Monday.
Tilde, according to his family, was abducted in Bauchi at Nuru Quarters, while returning home from the mosque where he observed his night prayers.
Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) Bauchi Command, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Haruna Mohammed said, "I heard about it, but I am yet to get the details".
A source in the family informed journalists that the incident was reported to the police and other security agencies in the state.
He added that the family was fervently praying for the release of the 70-year-old Tilde, while appealing to his abducted to show mercy and release him.
