Some things you probably did not know about Dr Stella Adadevoh

‎1) The Late doctor died after contracting the deadly disease from the index case, Patrick Sawyer.

2) Her full name was Dr. Stella Shade Ameyo Adadevoh.

3) She was 58 years old.

4) She was the first Nigerian to contract Ebola virus after treating Liberian-American Patrick Sawyer.

5) She was an endocrinologist at the First Consultant Hospital, Obalende, Lagos.

6) She was the most senior of the medical team that attended to Sawyer.

7) She was noticed to have contracted the disease few days after the index case, Patrick Sawyer passed on.

8) She alerted the government on Patrick Sawyer's health condition immediately she noticed it was an Ebola case not minding Patrick that wanted to be discharged at all cost, even without recovering.
This action was taken, according to the Managing Director of Health Management Organization (HMO) Dr. Ladi Okuboyejo so as to save Nigerians from the impending loom of the disease.

She was the first grandchild of Mrs Sarah Idowu Abigail Adadevoh nee Macaulay, making her a great granddaughter of the late nationalist Herbert Macaulay described as the founder of Nigerian nationalism.

Late Stella Shade Ameyo Adadevoh's father was Prof. Babatunde Kwaku Adadevoh, who was a grandson of the grand old man of Nigerian anti-colonial politics. However, family Tree Genealogy website has Sarah Abigail Idowu Macaulay as the daughter of Herbert Macaulay. She went on to marry Adadevoh. According to Family Tree, they have six children listed as follows;

Kwame Adadevoh, Kwaku Adadevoh, Stella Shade Ameyo Adadevoh, Charity Ronke Awoyo Adadevoh, Kowu Adadevoh and Awushi Adadevoh.
