"The only reason some marriages won't work is because you have given room to undue interferences."
- David Oyedepo
I've seen marriages and studied different couples. I've learnt to observe one thing. If a marriage must work, it needs the following: great maturity, patience, perseverance and a forgiving heart. The most delicate problem is to give room to undue interference from close relatives and friends. They don't have to be the one to decide what's next.
Our minds are fickle and easily open to accepting any contribution when we are in sorrow. Maturity in marriage is what it takes to overcome this. My lecturer often say to me "George, my wife is my responsibility, I don't need anybody's help when I am facing anything with her." Food for thought.
