I don't seem to understand the growing brouhaha over President Jonathan's decision to withdraw theft charges against Mohammed Abacha.
My President cannot be held responsible for your poor understanding of the English language. Mr Abacha was accused of stealing N446 billion. The keyword is theft.
My President and the Chairman of his ICPC have explained time and again that we fight corruption in Nigeria, not theft. Mr Abacha was accused of theft, not corruption. So, wey di problem?
Does it not stand to reason that he has no case to answer? People just like to give a bad name to my President for nothing. Could he have been any clearer about the difference between stealing and corruption? He explained it in English - not in Ijaw - on national TV during a prime time interview. Having been so clear in his rationalizations, why would any sane person expect my President to go ahead and act as if stealing was wrong?
Get your English language right and accuse Mr. Abacha of corruption and watch my President move swiftly and decisively against the man.
If, however, you are going to insist on theft, then park well make I enjoy Cameroon - Croatia. Don't waste my time. Stealing is not corruption.

Thanks for pointing this out.
