Bomb scare in Osun State



Residents of Ibikunle Estate in the Egbedore Local Government Area of Osun state today were gripped with fear and apprehension over an alleged discovery of an explosive device suspected to be bomb in the area.

The explosive device which was purportedly discovered around the State Secretariat of the Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT) was reported to the Police in the early hours of the day. Leadership reports officers of the state Police command swiftly stormed the area, using bomb detectors and other devices to search for the explosives.
However, they found nothing. But by then, many residents of the area had already abandoned their houses while a few that stayed behind kept strictly indoors.
