EFCC arrests Ohakim

A former Imo State governor, Ihedi Ohakim, was on Thursday arrested by operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.

Ohakim, who was scheduled to visit the EFCC office in Abuja yerterday, had shunned the invitation, prompting the commission to pick him up to clarify and answer questions on an ongoing investigation into allegations of corruption and embezzlement by his government.
The EFCC spokesman, Wilson Uwujaren, confirmed that Ohakim is in their custody.
