Early morning fire destroys cars, shops, houses at Iyana-Ipaja

There was an early morning inferno at Jafojo Street along the Lagos-Abeokuta expressway in Iyana-Ipaja, Lagos State today.
According to eyewitnesses, nine cars, five buses, several shops and houses were completely burnt in the incident.

He stated that the fire started from one of the houses on the street, but quickly spread to other buildings.
However, desperate calls to the State Fire Service could not yield immediate result as they reportedly failed to arrive at the scene on time.
Even they arrived, they allegedly left the scene when they ran out of fire extinguishers and water. However, no life was lost.
