PDP accuses Sylvia as men in uniform kill photographer, party chairman

The Photographer attached to the Bayelsa State Government House Reginald Deo and a Ward Chairman of the Peoples
Democratic Party, PDP, Seidougha Taribi,
were killed during the presidential and National Assembly elections yesterday.

Unidentified armed men in military uniform allegedly stormed Oweikorogha, Southern Ijaw Local Government Area of Bayelsa State and killed Dei and Taribi.

The PDP has, however, accused a former Governor of the Timipre Sylva of having a hand in the killing of their members in the state.

In a statement he signed in reaction to the development, the State Chairman of the PDP, Chief Moses Cleopas, said that “the death of Dei and Seidougha brings the number of those killed by APC thugs in the state to three.”

According to him thugs allegedly “working for the APC besieged Bassambiri and Oluasiri axis of Nembe Local Government Area, where they engaged operatives in a gun duel all night on Friday.”

The party Chairman added that “the attackers lost a member in the attack, several others were injured and taken to the Hospital in Ogbolomabiri and Yenagoa.”

Cleopas further accused former governor of Bayelsa State, and the State leader of the APC, Chief Timipre Sylva, and Surveillance Contractors in Nembe, Kodjo, of being behind the violence.
