NNPC SBUs, refineries to become profit centres – NNPC boss

The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), through its Group Managing Director (GMD), Dr. Ibe Kachikwu on Friday said that all of the corporation’s Strategic Business Units (SBUs) and refineries must now begin to operate as profit centres, ThisDay reports.


Kachikwu also said that some of the strategic targets of the corporation in undertaking reforms of its operations and management would be translated into concrete milestones to the appreciation of all Nigerians within the next 60 days.
By operating as profit centres, Kachickwu however meant that NNPC’s corporate service unit and all the SBUs would henceforth be run as profit centers with value addition expected from them.
