PHOTOS: Kano Pliiars players attacked, injured


About 5 Kano Pillars players were seriously injured yesterday after their vehicle was attacked by armed robbers along Abaji-Lokoja road around 1pm this afternoon. The armed robbers opened fire on the bus injuring some of the players. The injured players are; Ubong Ekpai, Gambo Muhammed, Eneji Otekpa, Adamu Murtala, and Reuben Ogbonnaya. Above is an injured Gambo Muhammed.
The players were on their way to Owerri to play with the Heartland of Owerri for the Nigeria Premier League opener, when the incident occurred. The players are currently receiving treatment at the Federal Medical Centre in Lokoja.
