Explosion rocks GSM market, Potiskum, many feared dead

An explosion has rocked the Potiskun GSM market, Yobe state killing many and leaving several others injured today.

Some survivors suspected that a woman suicide bomber detonated the explosive, killing herself and others at the busy market. 

Mr Toyin Gbadegesin, the Police Public Relations Officer in the state, confirmed the attack to NAN. 

"Yes, there was a bomb attack at the Potiskum GSM market and our men have moved to the scene for rescue operation and to get details of the incident.

"As at this moment, we do not have the details of deaths and injuries. Our men are still collating the details" he said. 

Meanwhile, some of the survivors said the bomb exploded after an argument between the suspected bomber and local security men at the market. 

NAN reports that this was the second bomb attack on the market this year, with the first one killing seven people and injuring many others.
