Boko Haram attacks Chad for the first time

For the first time since it started operations, Boko Haram militants, have launched an attack within Chad.
The assault took place in the wee hours of Friday, February 13, in a Chadian village and a military camp on the shores of Lake Chad.
According to residents and a security source, five people were killed in the attack.
A Ngouboua village resident said: "They came on board three canoes."
An anonymous security source disclosed that the militants killed at least four villagers and one Chadian soldier before the army managed to repel them.
