Stoke City's assistant manager, Mark Bowen has earlier said the Nigerian will comeback against Wolves for the U21 side on Monday, but the manager Mark Hughes has included the Nigeria in the squad that will play today.
The former West Brom striker been out with a cruciate knee ligament injury since October, but has recently returned to full training.
"Peter Odemwingie has looked really good, and whilst we don't want to compromise him, which we won't, he will be on the bench tomorrow (Saturday),” Mark Hughes told Stoke City's official website.
"It is a real positive for us to have him back in the group and available to get back into the squad again."
He managed to score six goals, which helped ‘The Potters’ to their highest ever points and league position in the Premier League.
Hughes admitted the Nigeria star has had to put in a lot of hard work and is rightfully in a good mood about his prospects of getting back into the first team.
