LAGOS STATE ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AGENCY COLLABORATES WITH ROTIMAX LTD TO ORGANISE SEMINAR ON PRINCIPLES OF FUMIGATION.

The Lagos State Environmental Protectionn Agency (LASEPA) in collaboration with ROTIMAX INTEGRATED SERVICES LTD recently organized One-Day seminar for hoteliers, representatives of organizations and pest control professionals at NUT Pavilion Alausa,Lagos.
This is part of efforts by the agency to promote pest and rodent  free environment,majorly in the public sector and contribute to eco-friendly environment for Lagosians and suburb alike.
 In his remarks at the opening ceremony, the General Manager, Engr. Adebola Shabi stated that the seminar was organized to deliberate on principles of fumigation and integrated pest management, he educated  participants on what to look out for from a professional pest control company  as regards LASEPA standard, he warned them never to substitute agro allied pesticide for public health pesticide.The General manager further stated the role of LASEPA in the pest control industry in Lagos state.
He implored participants to avoid patronizing quacks and informed pest control professionals in attendance not to compromise professionalism at all time , citing adverse effects of mis-use of pesticide on humans and the environment.  
 On his part, the convener of the programme, Mr Tolulope Caleb,The Managing director of Rotimax Integrated services Ltd  stated that the seminar which is a Public enlightenment campaign is the first of its kind in Lagos state and efforts are in top gear to make sure the organization partner with relevant bodies to continuously promote healthy environment via awareness programme.
The guest speaker Mr Ronald Van Lierop, the sales director of Alcochem Hygiene Netherlands who flew in from Netherlands introduced participants to non-chemical approach in controlling pest,with emphasis on integrated pest management as a vital tool for effective pest control.
In attendance were timbers and calibers in the industry, Environmental Health Registration Council Of Nigeria (EHEORECON) representatives  and executives of  Pest Control Association Of Nigeria (PECAN) . It was a display of proficiency and wealth of experience from the nooks and crannies of professionals.
